A cargo ship has been hit by an unidentified projectile off the coast of Oman, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) Centre reported Tuesday.
“A cargo vessel has broadcasted on VHF 16 that they have been hit by an unknown projectile. Authorities are investigating,” the respective statement said.
Crews of other vessels in the area have been advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity in the area.
