In accordance with the Armenian government decision on July 30, a temporary ban on the imports of tomato paste into Armenia—including transportation from other Eurasian Economic Union member countries—has been imposed for 6 months, starting from August 3, the State Revenue Committee of Armenia informs.

The adoption of the decision is conditioned by the need to ensure a level playing field for businesses importing tomato paste to Armenia and producing tomato paste from local raw materials, as well as to regulate the process of procuring tomatoes in the country.
