Swiss Federal Council Member, head of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, and OSCE Chairman-in-Office Ignazio Cassis is on a visit to Azerbaijan.

“Happy to undertake my first official visit to Azerbaijan. Switzerland values its partnership with Azerbaijan,” Cassis wrote on X.

According to him, as OSCE Chairman-in-Office, he intends to deepen cooperation in trade, innovation, and economic ties, while advancing dialogue, peace, stability, and prosperity in the South Caucasus.

“This visit marks the start of a broader regional outreach,” the OSCE Chairman-in-Office added.
