Eduard Hakobyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia, hosted representatives of the World Bank's (WB) technical mission of advisory and analytical services being provided within the framework of the "Crossroads of Peace" initiative of Armenia, the SRC informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Hakobyan emphasized the key role of the WB, and underscored the continuity and further expansion of Armenia’s long-standing cooperation with the bank.

Reference was also made to a number of programs that are currently underway in Armenia; in particular, in the digitalization of the customs system, simplification and modernization of processes, as well as the use of artificial intelligence tools in the customs body.

During the meeting, the launch of the second phase of technical assistance being provided to Armenia by the WB within the framework of the "Crossroads of Peace" initiative of the country were discussed, as well as the scope of assistance being provided for the planning of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) business model were reflected on.

Also, the parties agreed to clarify the scope of assistance to be provided to Armenia by the World Bank, including in digital connectivity, after separate targeted meetings.
