In the period from June to August 2026, the number of accommodation reservations for Russians in Minsk through travel agents has increased by 14 percent compared to the same period in 2025, TASS reports.

The most popular foreign destination for city tourism for Russians is now Minsk.

According to analysts, cities of the near abroad are the most preferred foreign destinations for city tourism for organized travelers from Russia in the summer of 2026.

The top ten most popular cities chosen by them for sightseeing also included Yerevan, Tbilisi, Almaty, Astana, Grodno, Tashkent, Brest, Baku, and Vitebsk.

Half of the reservations for Russians made abroad through travel agents this summer falls on the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and near abroad countries.
