The Zhoghovurd newspaper of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: The Zhoghovurd daily noticed that that Ruben Rubinyan, elected President of the [new] National Assembly [(NA)], has already moved to [former NA speaker] Alen Simonyan's former office.

He is accompanied in the parliament by two security officers, and his staff has been accommodated in the rooms designated for the NA president's staff. The new vice president, Vahagn Aleksanyan, who was elected to that position a few days ago, is already working in Ruben Rubinyan's former office.

And Hayk Konjoryan, who also has assumed the position of Vice President of the NA, has been organizing his work in the office designated for [NA former deputy speaker] Hakob Arshakyan for the third day. According to the Zhoghovurd daily’s information, if the authorities support the candidacy of opposition MP Aram Vardevanyan and he is elected the next Vice President of the National Assembly, the office intended for him has already been prepared.

It is located in the vicinity of Hayk Konjoryan’s office and once served for the opposition vice presidents [of the NA]. A peculiar working chaos has formed in the parliament these days. The MPs who have retained their [parliamentary] mandates continue to work in the same rooms, while the newcomers or those who have changed positions are busy redistributing offices.

One part [of them] still does not have a permanent room, the others are discussing renovation, furnishing, and staff accommodation issues. In the NA corridors, one can now encounter moving boxes, assistants loaded with documents, employees fixing new signs, and ongoing active discussions around the rooms. The new architecture of political power is, in fact, already visible not only in the [NA] sessions’ hall, but also on every floor and on every door of the parliament.
