I would like to reflect on objective economic indicators, which convincingly testify that Armenia’s participation in the EAEU is based on the fulfillment of mutual obligations, and not on obtaining unilateral advantages, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, in Kyrgyzstan on Friday.

“In 2025, Armenia transferred about $319 million to the EAEU [i.e. Eurasian Economic Union] single customs duties’ budget, while the amount of funds distributed in favor of Armenia made up about $175 million.

Thus, Armenia has paid significantly more funds to the single [EAEU] budget than it has received. This is a direct confirmation of our [i.e. Armenia’s] responsible position and conscientious fulfillment of obligations within the EAEU.

The dynamics of mutual trade are also no less demonstrative. According to the results of 2025, imports [to Armenia] from the [other] EAEU member states amounted to about $5 billion, while during the same period, exports of Armenian products to the union market amounted to about $3.2 billion.

These figures show that Armenia is not only a participant in the EAEU single market, but also a significant consumer of goods and services being produced in the union's member states," added the Armenian premier.
