Numerous members of opposition political forces are arriving at the Vagharshapat city—better known as Ejmiatsin—court of first instance of general jurisdiction of Armavir Province to express their support for the Catholicos of All Armenians, Karekin II, and six bishops.

The trial of Karekin II and the aforementioned bishops will start there today at 4pm.

Narek Karapetyan, leader of the opposition “Strong Armenia” faction in the National Assembly of Armenia, on Thursday had announced that they will not be in parliament on Friday, and will be at the Catholicos’ court hearing.

The opposition “Armenia” faction in parliament also had made a similar statement.
