Israeli troops have crossed the Syrian border and entered the western part of the southern Daraa Governorate, Syria TV reports.
Also, the Israeli troops opened fire on two settlements, after which they returned to their positions.
There were no reports of casualties or injuries among civilians.
Earlier, the Syrian authorities had repeatedly accused Israel of attempts to destabilize the situation in southern Syria. At the same time, Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa had said on July 26 that Damascus was trying to avoid confrontation with Israel and was working, with the assistance of friendly countries, to reach an agreement on security.
