Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel had rejected the 15-point plan for the Gaza Strip proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump through his “Peace Council” and does not intend to withdraw troops until the Palestinian movement Hamas lays down its arms, Reuters reports.

According to Netanyahu, the disarmament of the Palestinian group Hamas remains a mandatory condition for further progress on agreements regarding Gaza.

Last month, Trump announced a breakthrough in the implementation of his plan to end the war in Gaza. According to him, Israel and Hamas agreed to the plan last year, after which a ceasefire agreement was concluded.

At the same time, Israel continued to carry out strikes on the Gaza Strip even after the truce was concluded in October last year.
