Potato exports from Georgia have decreased nearly five times in the first half of 2026, local media report.
Accordingly, Georgia received $4,879,000 in revenue from potato sales, and the total exports amounted to 18,414 tons. The drop was 81.5 percent.
This year, the main market for potato sales from Georgia became Azerbaijan, where 11,777 tons of Georgian potatoes were sold for $2.2 million, followed by Russia ($1.4 million, 3,422 tons).
Belarus took third place, with $942,000 (2,126 tons), and Armenia was fifth ($195,000).
