A gunman has been arrested after opening fire at a local government building on the outskirts of the Thai capital, Bangkok, officials told Reuters, the latter reports.
It came just days after a teenager's shooting spree at a school in the same province reignited debate over gun control.
The suspected gunman, a former lawmaker, opened fire on a senior provincial government official and his driver, police said.
Two people were injured and taken to hospital.
