The Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: According to our [Armenian] authorities’ sources, official Moscow has given [Armenian Prime Minister] Nikol Pashinyan about a one-month time: either decide on the EU-EAEU choice, or we [i.e. Russia] are beginning the second—more severe phase—of repressions [against Armenia].

Our sources were not well informed about what they [i.e. Russia] mean and what is expected besides economic sanctions and export restrictions [on Armenia]; they only noted a few scattered examples, which they were speaking about with horror.

The first is the issue of Armenian migrant workers, which [Russian President Vladimir] Putin will be strict on and deport [them] from his country. Our CC [i.e. Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract Party] source was describing what would happen if 500 thousand of our compatriots returned to Armenia from Russia and remained unemployed—one can imagine the situation of both them and the country.

The second is the closure of the [Russian] airspace [for Armenia]. That is, the suspension of flights being conducted to Armenia, which will lead to a decline in tourism, a sharp increase in the price of airline tickets—not to mention technical problems [to Armenia]. Then they can move on to [Russian natural] gas [to Armenia] and other issues.
