The 7.4-magnitude earthquake that hit western Colombia has killed at least 132 people and injured another 570 so far, CNN reports.

But these numbers are likely to rise as rescue efforts continue.

The government has declared a state of emergency and deployed troops to the region.

A total of 86 buildings have collapsed across the country, and seven airports have stopped operations.

At least 188 people are missing in Cali.

The region was hit by another earthquake in 1999, killing about 1,200 people.
