The Zhoghovurd daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows, in particular: Zhoghovurd had sent an 8-point questionnaire to the prime minister's staff to clarify the real agenda of the July 27 phone conversation between [PM] Nikol Pashinyan and [Russian President] Vladimir Putin and the agreements reached.

We were interested in who initiated the conversation, whether the [June 7 parliamentary] elections [in Armenia], the formation of new [Armenian] authorities, the future course of Armenian-Russian relations, as well as the restrictions on Armenian products in the Russian market were discussed. We had also asked separately: What response Putin gave to the issue raised by Pashinyan?

Did he promise any specific action or instruction? And the exporting of what products it is about? The prime minister's staff's response, however, does not answer these questions. Instead, they have informed us that Nikol Pashinyan already reflected on the details of the telephone conversation with Putin in a conversation with reporters on July 29.

That is, instead of answering 8 specific questions, the prime minister’s staff is directing the reporter to the prime minister’s earlier public statement where there were no answers to our questions. It is especially noteworthy that we had asked not about general assessments, but about specific agreements, Putin’s positions, and possible actions. And the topic of restrictions on Armenian products in the Russian market is not simply a diplomatic detail at this point. It is a vital issue for the RA economy.
