France is experiencing acute water shortages due to the abnormal heatwave and drought, and almost 70 percent of the country has been affected by water restrictions, Euronews reports.
Over the past three months, France has been hit by a series of heatwaves with unusually high temperatures and a lack of rainfall.
The abnormal weather has already caused thousands of deaths and widespread wildfires.
And now, the regions are suffering from water shortages.
As France experiences a particularly severe drought, the effects of climate change continue to increase pressure on water resources, the Ministry of Ecological Transition said, adding that nearly 70 percent of France is under water restrictions.
