Russia has the right to attack any ship of hostile countries if there are sufficient suspicions that it is carrying cargo in Kiev’s interests, said the deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, RIA Novosti reports.

“That is, guided by a proportional approach—which is fair, Russia has the right to attack any merchant ship of hostile countries, which is in our or neutral waters, if there are sufficient suspicions that it is carrying cargo in the interests of the adversary; that is, any cargo. And there are many such ships,” said Medvedev.
