Russian President Vladimir Putin has visited the Kuril Islands, the Kremlin reports.
He visited the Yasny fish processing complex, inspected the Kuril Central Regional Hospital, the Secondary School named after the Hero of Russia Eduard Norpolov, and met with Sakhalin Region governor Valery Limarenko.
