We have been talking about economic diversification for eight years, but no programs are running, because economic entities do not consider there to be such a need, no matter how much we develop the relevant political rhetoric, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at the Cabinet meeting of the Armenian government Thursday.

According to him, independence is replacing dependence on the few with dependence on the many. Pashinyan added that if interaction with any entity is of a monopolistic nature, then it is a risk.

"This is a matter of state and national security, which needs to be managed," the Armenian primer noted. At the same time, he added that the policy of diversification of Armenia's economy will continue. "I call this situation an ‘opportunity,’" Pashinyan said.

The premier added that every day someone declares that Armenia is being destroyed because apocalyptic thinking prevails in Armenian society.
