YEREVAN. – The main goal of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs is to secure continuation of the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process and maintenance of any, even the fragile, ceasefire, expert Sergey Minasyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Asked whether it is possible to consider the challenge by the Co-Chairs as to abstain from revenge and tolerate the Azerbaijani aggression, the expert said it is not like that. The act of revenge will only bring forth the increase of tension in the zone of the conflict, which the Co-Chairs do not want. While Azerbaijan gets use of it, as it is the only way to influence on the situation.

As the agency informed earlier, the international mediators on Karabakh conflict resolution, OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, including Ambassadors Robert Bradtke of the United States, Igor Popov of Russia, and Jacques Faure of France and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, released a statement on the visit in region, which lasted from May 11 to May 14. They, in particular, were concerned about the recent incidents on the contact line, calling on the sides to be tolerant and abstain from revenge.
