In 2025, a total of 32 days of paid leave and paid public holidays (20 days of vacation and 12 days of holidays), were counted in Armenia, according to a study by Resume.io.

Also last year, 42 days of paid leave and paid public holidays were counted in Azerbaijan, 41 in Georgia, 42 in Russia, and 28 in Turkey.

The ranking includes 185 countries.

The leader of this ranking is Iran, where a total of 53 days of paid leave and public holidays were counted. San Marino follows—with 46 days, and Yemen—with 45 days.

Most European countries are either at or above the global average of 30 days.

Some large economies in Asia are considerably below this indicator: China has 16 paid days, India has 18, and Japan has 26, which is also below the global average.

The US has no paid vacation days and has the second-lowest number of paid public holidays (10 days), after Micronesia (9 days).
