The Iranian consulate in Hyderabad, India, posted a map on X and marked California as the "NEW TERRITORY OF ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN."
Earlier, Trump had posted a map on Truth Social depicting the Strait of Hormuz—and with the inscription, "NEW U.S. Territory."
