A special session of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia will be held today. This was announced by the deputy speaker of the parliament, Hayk Konjoryan, elected from the ruling "Civil Contract" Faction, at the NA session on Friday.

On Thursday, the parliamentary majority—the "Civil Contract"—had blocked the election of all three candidates nominated by the parliamentary faction of the opposition "Strong Armenia" bloc.

In response, the "Strong Armenia" Faction has decided to "complicate" the life of the parliamentary majority and votes with its entire composition during each registration of MPs to raise questions or to speak from the NA rostrum.

The parliamentary opposition has 41 seats.
