STEPANAKERT. – In accordance with the agreement earlier reached with the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) authorities, the OSCE mission held a monitoring on Wednesday at the line of the contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan, in Martuni Region.

From the Karabakh side, the monitoring was conducted by Personal Representative of OSCE Chairman-in-Office’s field assistants Hristo Hristov and Irji Aberle, and by the High-Level Planning Group (HLPG) representative, Major Vitaly Belokon, NKR MFA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.     

From the Azerbaijani side, the monitoring was led by Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Andrzej Kasprzyk. Personal Representative of OSCE Chairman-in-Office’s field assistants Antal Herdic and William Pryor, and HLPG representative, Colonel Andrey Barashkin, also took part in the monitoring.     

No ceasefire violations were recorded during the monitoring. But the Azerbaijani side yet again did not take the OSCE mission to its vanguard positions, and as a result the OSCE teams were compelled to conduct monitoring from a more distant location.      

From the Karabakh side, the monitoring mission was accompanied by representatives from the NKR Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense.
