Russia has exported grain to Armenia, the third batch this week, via transit through Azerbaijan, the latter’s state-run AZERTAC news agency reports.

The cargo includes 1,108 tons of wheat and 273 tons of barley.

Last Wednesday and Thursday, two batches of Russian wheat weighing 1,820 and 2,725 tons, respectively, were exported to Armenia via Azerbaijan.

At the end of October last year, Azerbaijan lifted its ban on transit of cargo destined for Armenia through its territory. Subsequently, more than 47,000 tons of grain, about 9,000 tons of fertilizer, 1,136 tons of propane, 1,114 tons of coal, 133 tons of aluminum, and 67 tons of timber have been exported from Russia to Armenia via transit through Azerbaijan.
