Past daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows, in particular: In recent days, information circulated in the media that [PM] Nikol Pashinyan has made a decision to recall the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Armenia to the RF [i.e. the Russian Federation], Gurgen Arsenyan.

Our sources claim that there are currently several candidates for the post of [the new] ambassador [to Russia], but the most likely candidate is considered to be RA Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan. Well, at least Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan is more inclined to “send” him to Russia.

The thing is that Safaryan, among other directions, actually coordinates the direction of the Eurasian region (Russia, other CIS countries) also. They say that he has normal relations with RF Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and other high-ranking representatives of the Russian political and diplomatic field.

On the other hand, it is noteworthy that one of his “directions” is multilateral diplomacy. In recent times, it is he who has just presented Armenia at the panel discussion titled “Multilateral Paths: Restoring Order in a Weakening Multilateral System” and at the panel discussion titled “Between Power Centers: Lessons from Multi-Vector Diplomacy” at the Dubrovnik Forum.

In addition, according to our information, Ararat Mirzoyan has a new candidate for deputy foreign minister, whose name, however, our source did not yet note.
