A short while ago, news disseminated that the second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, was taken to hospital.
Armenian News-NEWS.am contacted Kocharyan’s office chief, Bagrat Mikoyan, in this regard.
“The president had recently undergone medical intervention, which, naturally, we did not report. At the moment, the doctor, based on that fact, has seen the need for additional [medical] examination,” Mikoyan said.
We previously reported that second President Robert Kocharyan and his eldest son, Sedrak, were detained and taken to the Anti-Corruption Committee today as part of a criminal case being examined by the committee.
Also, searches are being conducted in the home of Robert Kocharyan's youngest son, Levon Kocharyan, a member of the opposition "Armenia" Faction in parliament, and in companies belonging to the Kocharyan family.
