Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: (...) the large gymnasium of the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex []in Yerevan has been rented to one of the religious organizations, and they have been holding a conference there for several days, in which representatives who have arrived from various countries are also participating.

Karen Ghazaryan, director of the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, confirmed this information in an interview with us: "The gymnasium has been rented by the Jehovah's Witnesses organization of the Republic of Armenia. They have rented the large gymnasium for every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in August. They have paid 200 million drams [approx. US$553,000] for the rent."

It is noteworthy that these conferences are taking place during a period when the situation surrounding the Armenian Apostolic Church and Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II is being actively discussed in Armenia.
