A military attaché will be appointed to the embassy of Armenia in Poland. The relevant decision was made at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the Armenian government.

It is noted that this decision will contribute to the further development of cooperation in the defense sector, will give a new impetus to the implementation of joint programs in the defense sector, and will raise relations in the defense sector between the two countries to a higher level of partnership.

It is emphasized that Armenia and Poland have considerable potential and prospects for the further development of relations in the defense sector, as well as in the military-technical sphere.

Currently, cooperation in the defense sector between the two countries includes training of instructors, joint participation in international peacekeeping missions, protection of the rights of servicewomen, civilian oversight in the armed forces, as well as exchange of experience in internal audit and the introduction of anti-corruption mechanisms.

It is also noted that Armenia attaches great importance to the consistent development and expansion of bilateral cooperation with Poland as an important bridge between Armenia and NATO, as well as the European Union.
