A total of 1,326,969,800 drams (about $3.6 million) from the government reserve fund will be allocated for the festivities planned in Yerevan, Kapan, Vanadzor, Gyumri, and Ijevan on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Armenia's independence.

According to the respective program by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, the largest amount, 1,031,453,500 drams (about $2.8 million), is planned for the main festive event to be held on September 21 at Yerevan's Republic Square, where about 40 thousand spectators are expected.

The program at the Republic Square will consist of two parts: a historical and cultural performance, as well as a concert.

The other events are planned in the provinces of Armenia.
