In the first half of 2026, a total of 23,522 applications were submitted for obtaining Armenian citizenship, including 14,142 by displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh, the Migration and Citizenship Service of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

During the same period, Armenian citizenship was granted to 14,770 people, including 8,676 displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh.

Also, 1,128 applications were submitted within the framework of the process of termination of Armenian citizenship, and the latter was terminated for 2,495 people.

In the first half of 2026, a total of 61,257 minors were documented with Armenian citizen passports.
