I ask not to ask me with a request to comment on that woman's statements, and from some point I have stopped following her statements and wording, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said in an interview with the state-funded Public Television of Armenia—and regarding Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"That woman's statement does not correspond to reality. The reality was diametrically opposite, including with regard to the CSTO. We have appealed to Russia, within the framework of bilateral documents, and to the CSTO—twice—on the basis of Article 4, and asked for help.
We were asking for intervention not in the sense that it implies fighting on our behalf [against Azerbaijan]. But we did not receive the help we hoped for," the Armenian foreign minister added.
