Hraparak daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows, in particular: Today, September 2, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Artsakh's [i.e. Nagorno-Karabakh] independence, Artsakh's political figures have organized events [in Yerevan] (...).

Although there is no particular reason to celebrate, the Artsakh political elite is eagerly awaiting today, as they will finally be able to gather in one place and hope that they will be able to hold the MPs of the political majority [faction in Artsakh parliament], the Free Homeland, accountable and force [them] to fill the positions of Artsakh's president and NA [i.e. National Assembly] president.

Let us recall that Artsakh's NA president Ashot Danielyan submitted his resignation on July 2. Danielyan had assumed the post of Artsakh NA president on May 21, 2025, replacing Davit Ishkhanyan, who is in prison in Baku [the capital of Azerbaijan].

Exactly two months after Danielyan's resignation, the post remains vacant, no [political] force dares to assume responsibility, since the RA authorities, led by [PM Nikol] Pashinyan, are against the continuation of the activities of Artsakh state institutions, they do not even dare to gather to discuss the issue. Such attempts have been made, but no one has shown up for the meeting.
