Diversification of export markets should become the strategy of the Armenian government, even if Russia lifts its restrictions on imports of goods from Armenia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the government.

“I believe that even if all the problems within the EAEU [i.e. the Eurasian Economic Union] are eliminated, diversification should become our strategy. Despite everything, we should not deviate from this direction. However, we should happily record that, of course, the problem has been and is, but, on the other hand, we see that this problem is being resolved thanks to the efforts of the [Armenian] state and private sectors,” Pashinyan added.
