Iranian authorities have raised non-preferential gasoline prices twice, the Islamic Republic's Ministry of Petroleum reports.

"As of September 8, the cost of each liter of gasoline under the third tariff is 10,000 tomans," the ministry said in a statement.

The third tariff was introduced at the end of 2025, and according to it, the cost of gasoline was 50,000 rials.

It differs from the other two—preferential—tariffs, which have remained unchanged: consumers can buy 60 liters of gasoline for 15,000 rials, and the next 50 liters for 30,000 rials.
