Konstantin Zatulin, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots of the Russian State Duma, spoke with NSN about possible easing of trade and economic relations between Russia and Armenia.

According to him, this will not happen as long as Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is in power in Armenia.

The Russian parliamentarian emphasized that all the deterioration of Russia-Armenia relations is due to the policy adopted by Yerevan, which is trying to form alliances with Moscow's opponents.

"Contrary to periodic contacts, there will be no easing [of trade and economic relations with Armenia] as long as Mr. Pashinyan is in power [in Armenia]," Zatulin said.

He added that Russia will not give in to blackmail by Armenia.

Also, the Russian lawmaker believes that the premier of Armenia will not hold a referendum on joining the European Union because he is afraid of losing.
