Armenia's state budget revenues exceeded the planned figure by 6%, and compared to the same period last year, expenses increased by 7%. Armenian Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan on Wednesday announced this at a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs during the discussion of the report on the implementation of the state budget of Armenia for the first half of 2026.

At the same time, as the minister of finance of Armenia noted, current state budget expenses increased by 16.1%.

"The performance of capital expenditures amounted to 56.4%. Moreover, compared to the previous year, they decreased by 28.3%," said Hovhannisyan.

According to him, the decrease in Armenia's capital expenditures by 83.7 billion drams is due to a 43.9% reduction in capital expenditures under the defense provision program.

At the same time, capital expenditures implemented on the account of Armenia's domestic resources—excluding the expenses of the ministry of defense—increased by 42.4%.
