Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Armenian Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan, who is on a working visit to Georgia, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.

During the meeting, cooperation between the law enforcement sectors of the two countries was discussed. It was emphasized that the agreement on combating crime, signed between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Armenia and Georgia, is the basis for strengthening and expanding partnership between the two countries. The importance of joint programs being implemented to combat drug trafficking, illegal migration, and other types of crime was emphasized.

The opportunities to deepen strategic partnership between Armenia and Georgia were discussed, too.

The processes taking place in the region were also touched upon. In this connection, Irakli Kobakhidze stressed that Georgia firmly supports the strengthening of peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
