The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) does not exist as a factor ensuring Armenia's security. Therefore, it is impossible to replace anything with anything. The speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ruben Rubinyan, announced this on Monday in an interview with state-funded Public Television of Armenia.

"As for the policy of filling gaps in the security sector, it is linked also to the diversification of defense and political cooperation: we have initialed the peace treaty [with Azerbaijan], reached agreements on unblocking [regional] communication channels. The gap in the security sector was stemming from the absence of peace," Rubinyan noted.
