Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: For more than a week, the Russian side not accepting also the products of the Ararat brandy, wine, vodka factory owned by [opposition Prosperous Armenia Party leader and businessman Gagik] Tsarukyan. About 2 dozen trucks loaded with Noy brandy have crossed the border, but the Russian side is not allowing [them] to move forward for unknown reasons.

Our sources say that after the arrest of Gagik Tsarukyan, they sent goods to the RF [i.e. the Russian Federation] without any restrictions, until the moment when the brandy factory was taken away from the owner and taken over by state management, and Tsarukyan himself was arrested on July 7. Perhaps this is the reason why the Ararat drink remained on the road, the revenue from the sale of this drink will go to the state, the Russians are limiting the revenue of the [Armenian] ruling party.
