The third meeting—in the current year—of the public council under the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Armenia took place, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Armenia reports.

During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, reflected on the foreign policy developments since the previous meeting, the foreign policy component of the new program of the Armenian government after the parliamentary elections on June 7, priorities, as well as ongoing work towards their implementation and prospects.

Reference was made to the consistent implementation of the peace agenda, efforts aimed at further institutionalization of peace, and the processes of development and/or normalization of Armenia’s relations with its neighbors. Minister Mirzoyan presented the programs being implemented to develop regional communications and interconnection in the conditions of de-blockade, and approaches to the effective integration of Armenia into the regional communications network.

The prospects for the development and expansion of Armenia’s mutually beneficial international partnerships were also discussed, and the active dynamics formed in this regard were emphasized.

A comprehensive discussion was held on implementing the strategic agenda of the Armenia-EU partnership, and the importance of concrete result-oriented cooperation in various domains of European integration was stressed. Also, views were exchanged on initiatives aimed at increasing Armenia's resilience, including at the economic, energy, and sociopsychological levels.
