I don’t say “Kyarki” about Tigranashen, I say “Kyarki” about Kyarki, I say “Tigranashen” about Tigranashen.” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this in his remarks during the MPs’ question-and-answer session with the government in the National Assembly of Armenia on Wednesday, regarding “enclave” Tigranashen village.

“Today we have established peace [with Azerbaijan], and the peace process has been successful because we have decided for ourselves that we must make decisions in connection with our destiny and the future of our country. Sovereignty is when you decide something and demonstrate mechanisms to implement that decision,” Pashinyan said.

“If we look [at the matter] from the logic of reciprocity, now Azerbaijan constantly emphasizes in every statement that they have unilaterally opened the railway for the Republic of Armenia. It is a fact, isn’t it, that the railway is open. That is what should we do? Say, no, Azerbaijan hasn't opened [it]?" the Armenian premier asked. "I didn't say 'Kyarki' for the love of Azerbaijan.

By saying 'Kyarki', I have neutralized the last point of possible escalation, which forces inside and outside Armenia were obviously going to start using [it]. I have fulfilled my task. What is that task? The last possibility of escalation has been neutralized," Pashinyan noted.
