Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: CC [i.e. the ruling Civil Contract Party] sources claim that the topic of the [Russian] 102nd Military Base in Gyumri is artificial, since it is a military depot for Armenia, and this military equipment was used also during the 44-day [war in 2020].
“At the request of the West, we are keeping the topic hot, but we will definitely not raise an issue of removing it,” said our source in the defense sector.
Let us observe that [PM] Nikol Pashinyan and the team, which had reduced anti-Russianness after Bishkek, have taken it up with renewed vigor after the visit to France, and yesterday Pashinyan said: “We have never put the matter of the Russian military base operating in Armenia for discussion, Russia has put it up for discussion, and we are taking a position on that discussion.”
No matter how much they pushed [Pashinyan] to express a clear position, he evaded. "(...). No, if they [i.e. Russia] want to take [this Russian military base] out, let them take [it] out."
