Russian ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin was the First to vote in the elections of MPs of the Russian State Duma at the polling station in the Russian Embassy in Yerevan, Dmitry Danilov, the press secretary of this diplomatic mission, told RIA Novosti.

According to him, Kopyrkin was the first to exercise his electoral right, thereby opening the work of the polling station. Two polling stations for the elections of lawmakers of the ninth convocation of the Russian State Duma are open in Armenia on Sunday: at the Russian Embassy in Yerevan and at the Russian Consulate General in Gyumri.

Voting is held from 08:00 to 20:00, and Russian citizens over 18 years of age who permanently reside or are temporarily in Armenia can vote.
