Yerevan is on list of the most active polling stations abroad in the Russian State Duma elections, Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) spokesperson Maria Zakharova announced, RIA Novosti reports.

“Among the most active [Russian] polling stations [abroad], Yerevan, Belgrade, Cyprus, Chisinau, Pyongyang, Phuket, and Kazakhstan have become leaders,” Zakharova said on the air of Vesti news service.

The Russian MFA spokesperson added that this year the turnout of Russian voters abroad was “extremely high.”
