Paris is ready to work with Washington to protect key infrastructure in the Middle East and restore navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, stated French President Emmanuel Macron.

"We have decided to work together to ease tensions in energy markets by protecting critical infrastructure in the Middle East and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz," Macron wrote on X after meeting with US President Donald Trump in New York.

The French president, however, did not specify what specific measures he was prepared to take to address these issues.
