The South Caucasus is undergoing a period of significant changes, and more and more attention is being paid to its economic and strategic potential. Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated this while speaking at the Partners for Multilateralism summit being held on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, the Georgian government’s press service reports.

Today, there are broader opportunities for practical regional cooperation. Georgia welcomes the progress made in the peace process between its neighbors and believes that strengthening regional cooperation can create new opportunities in domains such as trade, connectivity and economic development, the Georgian premier said, and added that Georgia remains committed to upholding the principles necessary for achieving lasting peace and prosperity.
