The most important factor for promoting tourism in Armenia is the newly established peace with Azerbaijan. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Tuesday stated this during a panel discussion of the Concordia Annual Summit held within the framework of the UN General Assembly session in New York.

The peace processes were becoming more active, during which the flow of tourists was increasing, and this is seen also now. Tourism is the most sensitive sector to security issues. When there is peace, there is stability, a gravitational field is formed for tourism, and now Armenia is truly becoming more and more appealing for tourism, Pashinyan said.

Peace provides a good opportunity for people from different countries to come and see historical sites, holy places, magnificent nature, wonderful Armenian cuisine, and kind people, good people, the Armenian premier added.

Pashinyan noted that when he asks tourists what the most appealing factor is for them in terms of visiting Armenia, they say that it is Armenian hospitality and the warmth of the people. This is a good branding for country, he concluded.
