Hraparak daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows, in particular: Armenian-Russian relations seem to be crossing the point of no return.

Our sources in Russia report that instead of a [Russian natural] gas price increase for Armenia, they will simply stop gas supplies to Armenia starting from November 1. It has already been announced that a planned repair [of the Russian natural gas pipeline] is underway, and at the moment the gas stored in the gas storage facilities is being supplied to RA consumers, but on November 1 there will be some major "accident" or force majeure, as a result of which the gas supply [to Armenia] will not be restored.

Our source says in order for such a scenario to not develop, they [i.e. Russia] have put forward 4 demands to [Armenian PM] Nikol Pashinyan. One [of them]concerns the Russian 102nd Military Base [in Gyumri]. Pashinyan has been offered to withdraw from this topic.

The second concerns the encroachments on capital with Russian participation in the [Armenian] railway, Gazprom, etc. The RA authorities should abandon this topic, too.

The third concerns the “EAEU or EU” dilemma. 2 ways have been proposed in this matter: either to cancel the law “On the start of the RA accession process to the European Union” or to announce the day of a referendum on this matter.

The fourth issue concerns the cessation of persecution of [Armenia’s] pro-Russian figures. We assume Robert Kocharyan, Gagik Tsarukyan, Andranik Tevanyan, Samvel Karapetyan. There is also a sub-demand: a deputy prime minister acceptable to Russia be appointed in the [Armenian] government, with whom the RF [i.e. the Russian Federation] authorities will work directly, because they are disappointed and dissatisfied with everyone [in the Armenian authorities].
