Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan on Wednesday participated in the US government-organized event, titled “Prosperity through Peace: Investing in Trans-Caspian Trade Route and TRIPP,” in New York.

Mirzoyan was a speaker at the discussion titled “Peace Prospects: Implementing TRIPP and the Trans-Caspian Route,” together with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Brendan Hanrahan , the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff also attended the event.

During the discussion, the agenda of peace and regional connectivity was touched upon, as well as the important achievements recorded since August 8, 2025.

In his address, Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the historical significance of the August 8 peace summit held in Washington, with the decisive engagement of the US in establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and lifting the regional blockade.

Ararat Mirzoyan presented the tangible changes for the people thanks to the presence of peace on the ground, as well as the positive developments in Armenia-Azerbaijan relations since the establishment of peace.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Armenia stressed the key importance of the TRIPP project for the countries of the region and in the effective development of interregional connectivity. Also, Ararat Mirzoyan noted with satisfaction the very tangible and concrete successes recorded in the development of the Armenia-US strategic partnership.

The event discussed as well the financial investment opportunities in the Trans-Caspian Enterprise Fund. Representatives from Georgia, Central Asian countries, as well as the private sector, participated in these discussions.
